Hello Cauliflower-lovers,
this veggie-powered Pizza with your favourite cruciferous vegetable needs to make it into your kitchen. There is a cosmic synergy in this crust – I swear!
No grains, wheat or yeast... just nutritious, low in carbs and fat but high in fiber and minerals.
 
The best thing about pizza is, you change the topping and, it magically transforms itself. Add to this what you love. It can be a fabulous side dish or meal on its own.
 
Health Benefit
Cauliflower is one of the cruciferous vegetables which have fantastic health benefits: High in Vitamin C, K, B6, B2, Folate, Panthothenic Acid, Potassium and Manganese. It contains anti-oxidants has anti-inflammatory benefits and supports cardivascular health. The fiber content of cauliflower, over 9 grams in every 100 calories, makes this cruciferous vegetable a great choice for digestive support.
 
When purchasing cauliflower, look for a clean, creamy white, compact curd in which the bud clusters are not separated. Spotted or dull-colored cauliflower should be avoided.
 
Heads that are surrounded by many thick green leaves are better protected and will be fresher. As its size is not related to its quality, choose one that best suits your needs.

INGREDIENTS

 

BASE

1 half head of cauliflower

1 egg

spices (Mexican or Indian)

 

TOPPING

3 mushrooms

1 small onion

hemp seeds

dulse flakes

tomatoes

add whatever you love as

a topping!

 

 

METHOD

 

Put one half head of fresh, organic Cauliflower in a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbles.

 

Wrap Cauliflower into a dish towel and wring as much of the juice out as you can to ensure you get a chewy pizza like crust.

 

Add one egg and spices of your choice. Once combined, pat into a 25cm round prepared pizza pan.

 

Meantime prepare what goes onto your base: Sauteed mushrooms, leeks, tomatoes, hemp seeds and dulse flakes.

 

Or prepare in a more traditional style with tomatoes, cheese and your fav cold meats.
