They pack a mean nutritional punch:
Made up of a complete protein (containing all eight essential amino acids), lots of Omega-3s and dietary fibre. Plus there’s a heap of minerals including calcium, magnesium, iron, and phosphorous.
 
High in fibre so they’re going to keep you regular. And about 20% of the fiber is soluble. The beauty of soluble fiber is that it promotes a healthy digestive system by feeding the good microbes in your gut.
 
I buy my chia seeds from a local Western Australian company called The Chia Co. They are the world's largest supplier and produce is certified non-GMO and chemical free.

INGREDIENTS

 

PUDDING

1⁄2 cup white chia seeds

1 & 1⁄2 cups almond milk

1 tsp agave nectar

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1⁄4 cup frozen berries (optional)

 

 

METHOD

 

Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir. Leave in fridge overnight to soak. The chia seeds will become gel like.

 

Divide into bowls, garnish with berries and serve.

 

Of course, you can add just about anything you like: ginger, cinnamon, cocoa, protein powder. This dish is easy to customize.
