This chocolate cream is so nutritious that it can easily double as a healthy snack at any time of the day, or even as a post-exercise recovery food.
 
There are hundreds of protein products on the market and I would encourage you to find one with raw organic sprouts, live probiotics and enzymes, instead of isolated whey and soy protein components.
 
Plant-based, sprouted protein powders are less processed and highly alkalising where as isolated protein- powders are refined, chemically altered and therefore acid-forming.
 
Health Benefits
Proteins are the building blocks of any living organism. They are composed of chains of 20 different kinds of amino acids. Proteins constitute life in the form of enzymes, antibodies, hormones, hair, nail, bone, teeth, hemoglobin (blood protein), neurotransmitters, skin or as the basic components of any cell in our body.
 

 

INGREDIENTS

 

CREAM

1 ripe banana, sliced into chunks and frozen

1 tbsp cacao powder

1-2 tbsp milk of choice

1/2 scoop protein powder

 

 

METHOD

 

Blend the banana slices and milk in a food processor until smooth.

 

Then slowly add the cacao and protein powders.

 

Sprinkle with raw cacao nibs.

 

 

Try this recipe with acai powder
for a more fruity cream, high in antioxidants and Omega 3s.

Simply substitute raw cacao powder with acai powder.
