How to make Heart Chocolates, Heart to Plate

Chocolate is the food of love. When making little heart chocolates like these with raw cacao – rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals – you can be sure you’ll be feeling it!
 
Amazingly easy to make and even easier to eat (guaranteed) they bring a whole lotta sweetness and nourishment to the house. I fill them with superfoods like goji berries, chia seeds and cocoa nibs to add extra nutritional value.
 
 
Health Benefits
Raw cacao is high in antioxidants which protects the cells from toxins and promotes health in so many ways such as improving circulation and reducing cardiovascular risk and repairing and resisting damage done by free radicals, reducing cancers
 
It is also rich in minerals like magnesium (deficiencies linked to heart disease, diabetes and joint problems), sulfur (a beauty mineral- helps detoxify your system and promotes healthy skin!), calcium, iron, copper, manganese and potassium.

Regular consumption increases serotonin and other neurotransmitters which promote a positive outlook and makes us feel good!

 

INGREDIENTS

 

CHOCOLATE

100g raw cacao paste

4 tbsp coconut nectar

 

optional
1 handful of pistachio

1 handful of goji berries

1 handful of cacoa nibs

1 handful of chia

 

 

 

METHOD

 

Melt the chocolate slowly over low heat in a water bath. Chocolate is very delicate and can become lumpy or grainy if overheated. (Avoid all contact with water as the chocolate will seize).

 

Stir frequently and add sweetener of your choice.

 

Meanwhile prepare the moulds. I add my superfoods and then pour the chocolate on top.

 

Chill in fridge for half an hour (or longer) and enjoy.
